Who we are

At HRUN Drones , we’re building something Canada has never had before — a fully independent drone center. From manufacturing to satellite-connected communications and real-world pilot training, we’re doing it right here.

Our team has nearly 150 years of combined experience in drone development, aerospace engineering, and field deployment. Most of us have been building and flying UAVs for over 20 years — in real combat zones and critical civilian operations.

Now, with Canada’s infrstructure and our expertise, we’re in a unique position to make this country a global leader in drone manufacturing and pilot training. We’re not just making drones — we’re building the future of unmanned aviation, and training the best pilots in the world to fly it.

Team History & Achievements

Valerii Krishtal

  • Built the first FPV drone capable of flying up to 200 km in 2008.
  • Grand Prix winner in 3D acrobatic competitions for RC models.
  • Secured 2nd place at the Ukrainian Championship for semi-scale model aircraft.
  • Developed UAV systems for Ukraine’s largest metallurgical holding.
  • MAAC member since 2017, continuously contributing to UAV advancements.

Oleksandr Ahieiev

  • Contributing to aerospace design projects at Yuzhnoye Design Bureau.
  • Earned the title of Master of Sports International Class in jet model aircraft sports.
  • Two-time Ukrainian champion in jet aircraft modeling.
  • Represented Ukraine at the 2019 World Championship in model aircraft sports.
  • Developed the Chaklun UAV (NATO Code 1550-61-015-7322), a high-effectiveness reconnaissance drone.

Victor Orlov

  • Holds a Master of Sport International Class title in ship modeling.
  • Co-founded a broadband data transmission company.
  • Played a key role in launching the Chaklun UAV project (NATO Code 1550-61-015-7322) in 2022.
  • Experienced in practical piloting, including large-scale aircraft models.
  • Focuses on innovations, prototyping, and implementation of new UAV technologies.

Artem Kholodkov

  • Active in aircraft modeling sports since 2014, earning top positions in Ukrainian championships.
  • Recognized as an expert in UAV control systems, communication protocols, and automation.
  • Specialized in navigation and control optimization for UAV systems.
  • Contributed to the design and customization of control and communication systems for the Chaklun UAV.
  • Experienced in radio control and telemetry systems for drones.

Dmytro Panchenko

  • Certified Private Pilot (PPL), experienced in light aircraft piloting and aerodynamics.
  • President of a charitable foundation that supports the military with UAVs and essential frontline equipment.
  • Deeply involved in aeromodeling education, fostering young talent in UAV engineering.
  • Directly contributed to enhancing drone warfare logistics by optimizing supply chain and deployment.
  • Provides strategic coordination between drone manufacturers, military units, and logistical networks to maximize UAV effectiveness.

Oleksandr Demenko

  • Served in the National Guard of Ukraine, actively participating in combat operations, gaining real-world tactical UAV experience.
  • Survived two years as a prisoner of war after Mariupol’s defense.
  • Plays a critical role in UAV distribution across military and strategic units.
  • Optimizes drone deliveries and routes, applying battlefield experience for UAV effectiveness.

Andrii Tyshchenko

  • Leads the development of blockchain infrastructure for HRUN Drone, including smart contracts, tokenomics, and secure digital identity systems.
  • Integrates Web3 technologies into AR/VR platforms and UAV ecosystems to create resilient and transparent digital environments.
  • Over 12 years of hands-on experience in crypto technologies, including trading bots, asset tokenization, and DeFi analytics.
  • Co-founder of UkrosoftGroup and BURSH — companies specializing in high-load IT platforms and blockchain analytics.
  • Brings deep expertise in decentralized architecture and cybersecurity to elevate UAV systems with next-gen digital tools.

Nickolay Buinenko

  • Expert in UI/UX design for AR/VR interfaces and UAV control systems, focusing on simplicity, functionality, and visual clarity.
  • Web developer since 2010 with a strong background in desktop and mobile applications, e-commerce, and CRM platforms.
  • Founder of SmartPIPL — an IT company delivering custom design solutions and mobile-first digital experiences.
  • Combines technical engineering knowledge with creative design to shape user-centered applications in the HRUN Drone ecosystem.
  • Leads the creation of visual identity and user experience across HRUN’s digital products, making complex technologies intuitive and accessible.
